Removal and installation of covers of the GRM drive

Forward cover (only series 111 engines)

Details of installation of a forward cover of a head of cylinders (series 111 engines)


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of a forward cover of a head of cylinders of the engine of a series 111 are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.
  2. Remove a head of cylinders (see the Section Removal and installation of a head(s) of cylinders).
  3. Remove a casing of the thermostat (3) (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating and the air conditioner).
  4. Otboltite valve switch of admixture of secondary air (Y32).
  5. Turn out fixing bolts (1 and 2) and remove a forward cover of a head of cylinders.
  6. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces. Installation is made upside-down, - the cover is put on sealant. Track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort.

3 — the Directing pins


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of a cover of the GRM drive on the engine of a series 111 are shown on illustrations to which all references which are found in the text belong.
  2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  3. Remove assembly of the left sleeve of a path of pressurization of air with the MAF sensor (see the Section Removal and installation of the engine).
  4. Take a cartridge of an oil filter (see the Head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases) and merge oil in the prepared capacity.
  5. Remove assembly of the fan of the cooling system with the viscous coupling (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating and the air conditioner).
  6. Remove a cooling system fan casing (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating and the air conditioner).
  7. Remove the case pallet (see the Section Service of the Lubrication System).
  8. Take off a belt of the drive of the supercharger.
  9. Take off a belt of the drive of auxiliary units.
  10. Empty the cooling system (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating and the air conditioner).
  11. Remove a basic arm the generator/generator assembled with a basic arm (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine).
  12. Remove assembly of a natyazhitel of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units (see the Head Dvigatel).
  13. Remove a forward cover of a head of cylinders (see above).
  14. Remove the water pump (see the Head of the Cooling system, heating and the air conditioner).
  15. Remove a driving pulley of the steering pump (44), - keeping of a pulley from a provorachivaniye can be made by the staving which is temporarily established to the place of a driving belt.
  16. Otboltite arm (47).
  17. On models without To/in remove an arm (46b). On models with To/in remove arms (46) and (46a).
  18. Remove the steering pump (45) and take it aside, without disconnecting hydraulic lines.
  19. Having turned a bent shaft in the normal direction, bring the piston of the first cylinder into situation 20-30 ° after VMT (see arrows on an illustration 5.7b).
  20. By means of blocking cores (01) fix camshafts.
  21. Mark with a marker the provision of a gas-distributing chain concerning asterisks of camshafts (75 and 76).
  22. Remove a natyazhitel of a chain (14).
  23. Remove asterisks final (76) and inlet (75) camshafts.

Bolts of fastening of asterisks is subject to replacement without fail.

  1. Take an inlet shaft assembled with the regulator.
  2. Take pins of guides of a chain (11).

At installation pins are put on sealant.

  1. Turn out bolts (A) of fastening of a cover of the GRM drive to a head of cylinders.

Bolts are equipped with heads like TORX.

  1. Remove assembly of a pulley of a driving belt with the built-in vibroquencher (95).
  2. Mark with a marker bolts of fastening of a cover of the GRM drive.
  3. Turn out fixing bolts and uncover (65), - try not to damage sealing laying of a head.
  4. Replace a forward epiploon of a bent shaft (see the Section Replacement of a Forward Epiploon of a Bent Shaft).
  5. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of a cover and a case of the engine.
  6. Replace sealing rings (66).
  7. Grease the interfaced cover surface with sealant, having tracked that the last did not get to the oil tank (65a) of a gas-distributing chain.
  8. Installation is made upside-down, - at installation of a cover delay a chain up, having completely chosen its weak point in the lower part. Track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of a cover of the GRM drive on engines of series 112 and 113 are shown on an illustration to which all references which are found in the text belong.
  2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  3. Remove panels of finishing of the power unit.
  4. Merge cooling liquid from a radiator.
  5. Uncover with heads cylinders of the power unit / assembly of the air cleaner.
  6. Remove assembly of the fan of the cooling system with the viscous coupling (1).
  7. Turn out the lower bolts and remove a casing fan/assembly of the electric fan.
  8. Install the screen of protection of the К/В radiator/condenser.
  9. Take off a belt of the drive of auxiliary units (2).
  10. Uncover heads of cylinders (6).
  11. Disconnect lines (17 and 18) of the water pump.
  12. Disconnect a hose (16) from a thermostat casing.
  13. Remove and, without disconnecting refrigerator lines, take aside the K/B (A9) compressor.
  14. Remove the lower section of the pallet of a case (see the Section Service of the Lubrication System).
  15. Remove the top section of the pallet of a case (see the Section Service of the Lubrication System).
  16. Remove assembly of a natyazhitel of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units.
  17. Remove a damper of tortional fluctuations (4)
  18. Remove a natyazhitel of a gas-distributing chain (14).
  19. Remove the case of an oil filter (7) equipped with the built-in liquid heat exchanger.
  20. Remove and, without disconnecting hydraulic lines, shift assembly of the steering pump (11) aside.
  21. Shoot the directing video (15) of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units from a GRM drive cover.
  22. Remove the air pump (20).
  23. Separate an electrical wiring from the thermostat.
  24. Turn out bolts (21) of fastening of a cover of the GRM drive to heads of cylinders.
  25. Turn out screws of fastening of a cover of the GRM drive.

At installation a carving part of screws should be greased with sealant.

  1. Uncover the GRM drive.
  2. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of a cover and a case of the engine.
  3. Installation is made upside-down, - it is necessary to impose a pillow of sealant about 2.0 mm wide on the interfaced surface of a cover and about 0.5 mm thick (track that sealant did not get to maslotok). Do not forget to replace sealing rings of a cover (19) and a forward epiploon of a bent shaft. Track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort.
  4. In conclusion clear memory of system of onboard self-diagnostics, previously считав the DTC codes which are written down in it (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine).
