Traction control system (4-ETS)

Functioning of the ETS system provides the increased course stability of the car at any high-speed modes and, besides, prevents pro-slipping of driving wheels at start-off from the place and sharp accelerations on a slippery paving.

Activation of system is made automatically at the movement of the car with speeds from 40 to 80 km/h.

Functioning of ETS is controlled along with a condition of antistrange system (ESP), - activation of a lamp in flashing a special control lamp 4-ETS/ESP warns about dangerous decrease in coefficient of coupling of tires with a paving of the driver (see the Section Combination of Devices, measuring instruments and control lamps and light indicators).

At detection of malfunctions in the traction control system the control lamp 4-ETS is activated (see the Section Combination of Devices, measuring instruments and control lamps and light indicators).

At activation of the LOW RANGE mode for the movement on off road terrain the system 4-ETS is transferred to the specific mode of functioning providing increase in reliability of control of traction effort.

Maximum efficiency of action of ASR in winter season is reached at use of tires of the class M+S (for the movement on dirt and snow).

Use on the leading axis of tires of the different size leads to noticeable decrease in efficiency of return of the traction control system!

At high load of brake mechanisms there is an automatic short-term shutdown of system 4-ETS for the purpose of prevention of an overheat of brakes, - this shutdown is followed by activation of a control lamp.

In case of refusal systems of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS) it is disconnected as well the traction control system.
