  1. Schemes of laying of a belt of the streaming drive of auxiliary units are presented in the Section Replacement of a Belt of the Drive of Auxiliary Units and Elements of the Mechanism of Its Tension.
  2. Fingers (and using a small lamp if it is necessary) walk on all length of a belt, feeling on existence of cracks and stratifications. The belt has to be examined on both sides that means need of its twisting for check of a condition of inner side. Be in passing convinced of lack of a rust, cracks and agnails on pulleys. On a working surface of a belt existence of superficial perpendicular cracks is allowed. If these cracks do not overstep the bounds of one edge and not really deep, to replace a belt there is no need.
  3. Adjustment of a tension of a driving belt is made automatically. It is necessary to check periodically a condition of a belt, and at detection of defects, to replace a belt.
  4. The tension of a belt is carried out by an automatic natyazhitel and does not need check.
  5. Switch off the engine, establish transmission in neutral situation. Lift and install the car on supports.
  6. Mark chalk a belt on well foreground.
  7. Face key turn the engine for a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft in the direction of normal rotation (clockwise) until again cretaceous marking does not appear, - attentively study a condition of a tape of a belt on all its length.
  8. The tension of a belt can be checked by strong pressing for it by a thumb and definitions of degree of its deflection. Measure the size of a deflection by a ruler. If the distance between centers of pulleys makes from 180 to 280 mm, then the size of a deflection has to equal 6 mm. If the distance between centers of pulleys is in limits between 300 and 400 mm, the deflection has to be equal 13 mm.
  9. In the presence of one or several of the specified damages the belt needs to be replaced (see the Head Dvigatel).
  10. Make sure of correctness of landing of a belt on pulleys.

Establishing a driving belt, correctly place it on pulleys - it has to be strictly on the center of a pulley (even short-term work of incorrectly established belt can lead to its damage)
